Hey guys and gals, This is my first post and thought I'd make it a decent one. I picked up some cheap daytime running lights off ebay and decided to hook them up to my bike, it takes about 1 - 2 hours to fit, they give out more light closer to the vehicle and make you a lot more visible to Car drivers.

12V LED SUPER BRIGHT WHITE LIGHT DRL DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS CAR SPOT LAMPS -UK | eBay

Tools -

Multimeter
Solder
soldering iron
flux
electrical tape (optional)
2 x 8" long heat shrink suitable for your selected wire gauge (optional)
4 x wire 8" long (I used speaker wire as its all I had)
4 x male & female connectors (I used crimp connectors)
screw driver

How to -

This needs to be done to both sides

disconnect the wire what goes from the loom to the side lights, and cut some of the insulation off it (10 - 15mm)

take out the bulb and push the wires through the rubber

push the connectors out of the rubber end

cut the 8" wire and strip and tin the wire on both ends

push the wire through the rubber and solder the wire to the existing connector

gently pull the wires back through the rubber and use a small flat head screw driver to align the connectors for the sidelight to fit in, (be careful to not let the wires touch, use a little bit of electrical tape if necessary

if using heat shrink, put it over the wire now and shrink it down

turn on your ignition and check which side is the live and which is ground

solder / crimp the connectors onto the wires

to mount the lights I marked out and screwed the supplied brackets onto the OEM radiator cover

check polarity of the connectors on the LED's and put the suitable connectors on

connect the sidelight wire back into the bike and connect up the LED's and your done :)
