LED lights

Im thinking of fitting blue LED's to the inside of the frame and was wondering if anybody has done this mod ? Are there any issues or tricks to it ?

Ive done red myself, no issues, no tricks to it, just run everything as clean as possible, i ran one fusible link off the + side of my battery and tied all my lights into that. Good Luck with it, let us know how you come out.

No idea what the laws are in Austrialia but you may want to incorporate a switch. Also it is best to shine the leds at parts of the bikes that difuse and reflect the light otherwise you can end up with a spotlight effect.

I'm glad necromitus noticed you were in another country, 'cuz I was getting gready to say that blue is HIGHLY subjective to the police officer you encounter. Nobody can say anything if you're sitting in a parking lot, but riding down the road with them is another story. Flashing blue will get you a definite ticket, possibly a warning the first time if you're lucky. A constant blue light I've heard of people being given a hard time, but if you really wanted the hassle you could probably fight it in court. I guess FYI for you, but some good info for those stateside... The only reason I know this is because my friend installs them on Harleys for a living. Different states may have slightly different laws though...

BTW, some of the white LED's have a slight blueish tint to them (kinda like the HID headlights). That's what I'm going to use. I already have one on my tag so I'm legal...

When I wrecked my last bike, there were LEDs missing form the strip, and we just yanked them off the bike, but the ones that were still on there worked great. Some new ones he has you can have lit and whip them onto a table as hard as you want and they won't break or go out! I just gotta save up some cash...
