So about ten years ago the whole "Keep Austin Weird" thing started. I guess the hippies were feeling gentrified or something. Well the whole thing is rather contrived and dumb. Regardless, today I ate my words. As my wife and I were driving down 360 we saw this dude. We'd seen him once before, so I flipped a U and we circled back around for this photo. As the saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words.

He even made the newspaper on the 13th. http://www.statesman.com/news/local/mysterious-2222-bike-rider-is-missing-a-pair-963370.html

Did you notice the sign he is riding by? Old Jollyville Road!! I am guessing he is a very jolly fellow! :rof:

There used to be a guy like that in Albuquerque, too... Love your wife's expression in the rear-view (no pun intended) mirror.... :D

One of the best vacations my wife and I ever took was to Austin. What a great city! Your bike rider only adds "flavor".

Great timing on the photo of that really weird person. Austin is a great Blues town that I have wanted to visit for sometime. There is a record store here called Music Milleniumn in Portland that has stickers saying Keep Portland Weird! But the good one is Bridgeport Brewery has one that says Keep Portland Beered!:iconbeer:
