Just got a 2004 FZ6 and got some questions

i have seen that helmet lock but i was looking for something different....i have some bar end sliders that i really like and dont wanna take them off to have this. i will prolly get a cable lock or something and rig it up to work out.

That bike looks familiar..... Where/who did you get it from?

Rare JSA custom handle bar clamp on there too. I got his last one.

Looks like you already have a lot of mods done to it. Here is my personal mod list for my 05. Hope it helps and Welcome.

Yes, that bike looked familiar to me too. Someone on SBN who is not that active probably sold it out of boredom. Nice catch on the mods!

These are pretty sexy helmet locks: http://www.barender.com/

Search around the forum as others have come up with some interesting solutions to helmet locks. One was strapping on some carabeeners under the seat. THen all you have to do is pop the seat off, clip the helemt chin strap on teh carabeener, and put the seat back down. Helmet locked.

I personally use a nice little retracting cable lock. Runs about $30, but I can lock my helmet and tank bak to my bike with it. You could use similar ski type cable locks too. Easy to pack around in a pocket.

That is way freaking cool! I want those barenders.

Wow, heaps of mods done already on the bike, looks sweet.

Can you see a brand-name on the clip-on bars...(in your photo below)
That's the first set of clip-ons I've seen that would work well with the faired model.

:)

where does the little retractable cable mount?

It dosen't 'mount' anywhere. It's a cable lock so you loop it through your helmet and then through your frame. Too easy. Or if your like me and hang your helmet on your mirror, you loop the lock though the helmet and then down and through you handle bar clamp.

Hi wdsoccer,
Welcome in the 2004 FZ6-S club. I also own one (black-grey) with some mods. It's a very nice and pleasant bike to ride. I found all my items on "ebay".
I wish you the best with your "new" metal horse.

:welcome:
