idk y but i just had an idea to add frame sliders to my givi engine bars... i was lookin through my garage today and i saw my old trex frame sliders and i was thinking y cant i make some frame sliders that attach to my bars hmmm:eyebrow:.... well i remember i made some frame sliders for my old 98 ninja 250 that attached to the frame and i might give it a try on the fz6 but on the givi's...it would somewhat look like a stunt cage like this

Now on the FZ6:

list of materials:
drill n bit
two grade 5 or 8 bolts n washers
2" thick delrin rod
lathe(machine shop)
im thinking it would be better instead of metal to concrete contact in the event of crash(knockin on wood)...but the con im thinking about is that if on impact it is more focused on one point of the bars than just sliding on the bars itself
Does anyone think this is a bad idea?? Will this compromise my givi bars badly?? any input is appreciated
