Is it legal to lane-split in Texas?

I recently heard a rumor that Texas recently passed a bill allowing riders to lane-split now... can anyone out there deny/confirm this and provide evidence?

currently illegal, last i checked.. i think its sb506, still at house pending vote.. it passed senate recently

Unfortunately, looks as though it died in committee during the last legislative session, which ended in June '09. (You'll note the urbangrounds.com posting is from March '09). If I'm not mistaken, it would have to be re-proposed when the legislature re-convenes next year, and begin the process again. Oh well...

As far as I know CA is still the only state where it is legal. I understand AZ had some pending legislation that was a "trial period" of some sort and also was limited to the population centers.
