not impressed with the memory, it's not even DDR3 and definitely not dual or triple channel. SLOW memory speed bottle neck.

Yeah that's actually a very small amount.

I have 3GB and consider my machine a bit outdated. Also I have dual video cards and an overclocked quad core from Intel.

I'm pretty sure 256GB is more than 3GB (there are 32 DIMMS!) You better proofread next time. You deserve some type of an award yourself LOL.

That's what I get for not reading properly. Thought it was 256MB.

Edit: but yeah, having more RAM doesn't help. You're not using it anyway. If you're only using the first 2 or 3 GB then quicker RAM is better than more RAM.

You would need a 64 bit OS installed to address that much ram, also most software is not CPU aware or configurable so most would use the first CPU. But with the right software and configuration it would be an incredible multitasker! Setup 4 nice monitors and be on more motorcycle sites at the same time than you could keep up with.:rockon:

That really is a cheap looking board although I'm sure its not, absolutely no bling on that thing what so ever. Beleive what you will but it is all the anodized shiny bits that make the board run well.

Seriously though, a lot of people focus on the wrong thing when trying to get more everyday speed out of their computer. Memory on most new computers, even the Walmart ones are usually sufficient. The biggest bottleneck is mostly the cheap motor driven hard drives. You want fast response times when you click the mouse try upgrading to an SSD drive, you will be much happier!

SSD is an awesome upgrade, but I would hold off on it for a while. It's still quite expensive and they keep coming up with faster & faster versions.
