'86 FZ600.
This is my first FZ600, All the other bikes I've owned were 70's hondas. On those bikes the coils were grounded through the frame by being bolted to it. Is this not true of these bikes? One coil (the choke side) is bolted to the frame, but the other has these two rubber caps and the mounting plates suggest that it's not. Is this correct?
I got this bike as is, the previous owner moved away long ago and the person I picked up from has no idea about anything. He said the PO was having some sort of electrical issue that was keeping him from passing inspection and that he gave up before fixing it. The wiring is in various states of disassembly so I don't trust anything at this point.
Here's a pic of what I'm talking about, any suggestions appreciated. Sorry it's kind of fuzzy.
