I have to write...

d then it will take 6 months until it are leagally ok.
This is set by laws in sweden beacause when you have children you should have time to think things over.

6mths? It is 12mths in Australia!

I have been thinking of moving to my parents but I dont think it will be such a great idea. I cross my fingers that I will find an apartment soon...

Never discount the benefit of being with your parents Mate. You're almost guaranteed get depressed and need the support.

As I said, I'm here via the WWW if you need to chat - I've been there, and could perhaps help give some perspective, or even just a friendly ear if you need.

Hopefully, you'll be able to retain a mature relationship, but as you've indicated, she seems to know a lot about the divorce process, so perchance has been talking/researching and depending on to whom she's been speaking, it could get difficult.

The best thing you can do is stay strong and be an example for your little angel, regardless of the circumstances and situation.

Cheers,
Rick

Hope thing smooth out for you. Just try to look at the positive, sometimes its the hardest thing to see in any situation. Go do something or get something just for you, and then do the same for her. Good Luck brother.

Sometimes life just isn´t the way you want it to be. We have talked this evening about trying a last time. My doughter who is 4 year old asked me this morning in the car what a divorse is... What should I answe? My little girl understands much more than I think obviosly ;)
So me and my wife has maked our self a promise to give it a last try, aleast for the children. We are going to see a psychologist who just work with couples that have problems. I have a few friends who has done this and they are living happy together today. I guess that the best way is if we together find the right path again, or? We did get married the first time for a reason. Are I doing the right thing I wonder? I´ll guess you´l never now if you not give it a try...

Hang tough dude, it sucks. Like you many of us have experienced the same thing. Again hang tough, it will get better, and believe it or not you will feel better. Once my divorce papers were signed a million pounds were lifted off my shoulders. Remember your daughter, put her first and you'll both be good.

Try man, try. If it works outstanding, if not that's okay too because you tried.

2 months and $200 in Texas!

I hope the counseling helps. Even if you end up splitting up, the counseling will help you get through that too. Wishing you all the best.

Never fight in front of her and NEVER talk bad about your childs mother in front of her. It's unfair to her.
Too many parents talk trash about their ex partners in front of the kids - that's BAD parenting.

Keep your arguments/discussions away from her.

She's too young for you to explain everything to, but she's old enough to understand more than you think.

Just tell her that she is so special mum and dad are going to have 2 houses for her!

Thanks, it is so good to now that all of you here on the forum i supporting me  Hopefully it will work with counseling but you´ll never now. I am still confused about the hole thing. I am 34 years old and I didn´t tought my life should be like this. I just wanted a family where we all could live happily. But once again, life isn´t always like you want it to be...

Well I have been away from the forum for a time. Now atleast I have moved out and found my self an apartment for me and my doughter. Everything has gone from bad to good. My life has not been so nice for a long time. My doughter is happy about living once a week with me and thats the most important thing, thats she is happy. Now I also have been able to use my bike :-) it has become spring in the south of sweden and I have been ridning or almost 120km the last weekend :-) Now I am only waiting for my garage that will be avalible the 1st of April. Then I have my bike just 300meters away from my door :-)
Thanks to all of you here on the forum for your great support!

Glad things are working out for you Cribbe!
They will get much much better!

We do have a pretty warm and fuzzy group here! :D

Sorry to hear that. Time will fix everything... I've been there few time and things just kept getting better after. Might feel like the worst day of your life right now... read this thread in 1 year from now... You won't miss the days of arguing and fighting. Life is short...

Give her whatever she ask for... it's just money. Think about your kids first... you leave everything to your kids, not necessary your ex. And you have the chance to buy all new stuff that you actually like...lol Find a not too far and not too close for the first year... your kid is going to need you more than you think.

Stay strong!

Sorry, I should have read the whole thing... Glad your doing great!

same here, went thru a divorce about 4-5 years ago, we didn't have any kids so that made it easy. Thinks get better so just keep your head up. One advice I can give you is to make sure you live close by to your daughter so she doesn't have to much of a change with school and friends ( i know she is 4, just saying)

Thanks for the update.. glad your feeling alot better about stuff.. life is once crazzy ride.. and at least you'll have more time on the bike!!

Pleased to hear that things are looking up, and that you're still seeing your daughter regularly  enjoy the spring weather

Do what i did mate, get a project...when things settle a little. Build a bike, whatever, just keep your mind active, and get yourself something rewarding to keep your mind off things.

good luck...and life goes on. Your daughter will still love you just as much.

So glad it's all going well for you Cribbe!

Just make sure you spend a lot of time AND quality time with your daughter.

Too many people just put their kids in front of a tv, or send them off to school without even getting up to get them breakfast.

It's the little moments with you she'll enjoy. Sit down and read her a book. If you're working on your bike, get her out in the garage with you and just talk to her while you're doing it. I used to love time in the garage with my dad as a kid - passing him tools and keeping him entertained.

Enjoy/savour every minute with her. You don't have to spend a lot of money on a child for them to be happy. You just have to show them love and enjoy them :)
