My wife and I decided to learn to ride. We took the course a couple of weeks a go and had a blast doing it. We finally picked out the bikes we wanted and picked both of them out. My wife got the 08 V Star Silverado and I, of course, got an FZ6. I've been enjoying it very much.

She got on it and was a little intimidated by the weight of it and didn't want to drive it home, so I got to drive it for her. She's going to ride it around in a parking lot until she get more comfortable with it.

It was a world of difference getting on my FZ6 after that. It's so much quicker and incredibly responsive. It felt like I got out of a tank and into a jet. Not that I really went fast, but it felt like it. I definitely know which bike fit me better and that I made the right choice. With that said, I'll be taking it pretty easy while the bike breaks in and while I grow into it.

I have been lurking here for a little bit and I want thank everyone whose advice to others has already helped me. :Sport:

Yasso, welcome aboard! I think that's really cool that both you and your wife decided to learn to ride together. I hope you both have many years of fun and adventure! Enjoy!

Congratulations and welcome to the forum. My wife rides too, and it makes it alot of fun to have her along (and as long as you buy her gear/mods, she'll understand when you "need" something for the bike). Hope she gets comfortable on the new bike and you two can hit the open road. Where in the USA is your open road?

I got the cobalt blue one. It looks great in the sun!

I live in central Virginia, so lots of twisties and mountain roads are close by!
