A hard break in is the best. Get it up to temp and go nuts.

ive always heard to vary the RPMs, and in the manuals it says not to stay in the higher end of the range until 600-1000mi. and as i have stated before i trust engineers and their suggestions on the machinery that they designed.

A lot of the time in the factory they get out on a rolling road and the engine run through the revs so they are broken in.

When I looked at the photo of your bikes together, it looks like the honda is blushing. You should leave them alone in the garage for a while.
Maybe you'll get a third bike, maybe thats where FZ 9's come from.
