After 2 months of saying up late rereading the same stuff over and over I finally made my choice. THE WINNER....FZ6!! I am a short guy and had narrowed the choice down to FZ6 or FZ6R. The R fit me a little nicer but side by side and on paper I couldn't spend what would have been more money on the R. I got a NEW blue 2008 FZ6 OTD for $6700 and with an agreement on contract that when / If I buy the hyperpro lowering spring I can bring in the shock and they will mount the spring for me. I plan on trying the seat shave first and if I need a little more I will go the spring route as well. Springs for front and rear are a little pricey though, may just do the fork raise on the front. I love this bike, after coming from a ex500 (wonderful bike in its own right) it is such a different feeling. the most notable thing I think is overall smoothness. I love the feel of that big rear tire, I can actually feel the bike roll over on it, much safer feeling than the old 130 on the ninja!! I have not yet got to tap into the power yet as I am keeping it around the 6,000 till about 600 miles or so. I just did my first oil change last night at 110 miles, some like this idea and some say it is too soon. I felt pretty good about it when I saw all the metallic in my 110 mile oil .
