Took a 360 mile loop today that took me through Idaho's famous Sun Valley Resort. The last 150 miles from Hailey Id was brutal, boring.

Idaho Hwy 21 leaving Boise is nothing but twisties, and portion of it meanders along the South Fork Payette River. Beautiful, and you can smell the fresh pine trees.

Kirkham Hotsprings which is located along the river, you can see people on the very left side sitting underneath the falls, which is the hot water. The river is crystal clear too.

Continuing onto Stanley Id, population 63. This photo was taken approaching the town. The Sawtooth Mountains in the background.

Lunch in Stanley. Ended up talking with several other motorcyclist during lunch. Travel alone, meet everyone. Travel with friends, meet no one.

Redfish Lake, right outside of Stanley Idaho.

Continuing onto Sun Valley Id, on Idaho Hwy 75.

You know when you arrive at the Sun Valley Lodge, nothing but money up here. I believe these are Bugatti's?

I thought this was a funny, read the plate cover, top and bottom. So how fast do these cars go?

Hard to believe I stayed at this lodge when I was out touring with the Allman Brothers Band back during my glory days. I remembered my room overlooked the ice rink too.

What parkspace pals to have. Too funny! I hope you didn't activate a perimeter alarm to sound off if the driver of the Bugatti got too close to your space ;)

You will never know how much you miss the mountains until you live in the dessert! Great shots Kenny! If you get a chance ride from Boise, 95 North, then 13 to Kooskia, take Hwy 12 to Lolo Hot Springs... Spend the night, Then Hwy 93 to Chalis, then 75 to 55? weave your way west back to Boise. Not many dull bits to speak of on this ride for sure. I loved your comment about riding "alone" or with friends... Sooooooo True!

Yeah, I did the Lolo Pass Hwy 12 last year, not too impressed with it. I have done Hwy 13 to Kooskia, I think it's some kind of scenic highway. Only part I have not ridden is 75 to Chalis. Which is ironic that you mentioned the town, one of the motorcyclist I was sitting next to during lunch in Stanley was from Chalis, telling me about hwy 75 to 93.

I did several tours in the span of several years. Even did one of the runs at the Beacon Theater in NYC. I think it was between 2004-2006. Remember those instant live cd's, where they would burn a live cd at the show you attended that you could purchase, it was during that period. Also I was out with them when they co-headlined with Tom Petty. The drummer, the black guy was real nice, forgot his name. Along with Derek Trucks, real nice guy and we got along great, since we both ended up working and touring for Eric Clapton. Warren Haynes and Greg Allman were kind of quite guys in my opinion.
