How much does -1/+2 (or even -1/+3) help, in actual trials?.

I have searched a good bit and completely understand the potential benefits of lowered final drive gearing regarding how a bike accelerates and whatnot, but has anyone done any direct comparisons in performance numbers? Not power, obviously, like 0-60, 0-100, 50-100, 1/4 mile etc?

I'm just curious. Thanks!

Not once person has even done some 1/4 runs, then gone back with different gearing and even casually compared the times? Or maybe timed themselves in 0-60 and tried again later on after the gearing was changed? I am not looking for magazine-quality scientific tests, just at least some anecdotal information whether it is "no, it felt peppier but I didn't see any decrease in times," or "yeah man, I dropped a second off my 1/4 mile!"

I went +2 on the rear. No I was having too much fun riding the thing.

Sorry homeslice. I did write a review about the difference though. Check threads I've started under my profile and look for the one with all the reviews.

I went -1 on the front - difference, for me, was huge.

Going from 1st to 2nd to 3rd - very fast now. Love it. It hits 8000 RPM faster than I can blink

One day I may even go -2, but for now, I'm pretty happy.
