How do I get the swingarm off?

Can anybody help me figure out how to get the swinger off of my '07?
I believe that the nut is 27mm, but what I'm not sure about is that clip.
It doesn't look like a regular C clip, as it is solid all the way around.
I need to get it off for a little project that I am working on, but don't want to damage anything in the process (like by trying to take the nut off with the clip on).
If anyone has done this before and can offer some advice I'd greatly appreciate it!

The clip is a locking device that's built into the nut, so just treat as a normal nut and undo it:thumbup:

There should not be a "clip" on the swing-arm nut. What i think you may be seeing is the lock part of the hex nut. There is a thin metallic material at the end of the nut that serves as a thread lock (similar to a nylon lock nut, just a different design). You should be able to lefty-loosey that guy right off there.

One thing to note, at least from my experience, the bolt need to be coerced out of it's hole. For some reason the chain side of the bolt corrodes to the point where it almost locks itself in place. I have come to remove and grease it once a year.

Cool, easy enough. I just didn't want to start turning and tear up the bolt heh.
