Can I blow a fuse or bulb by having a loose connection at high beam? Or does that mean I have a loose connection? The contact isn't perfect, comes loose. Should I just not go out at night?

You should repair or have it repaired!

You'll only blow a fuse by overloading the circuit, or having a short somewhere. A loose connection won't blow the fuse unless it falls off and shorts out.
