Hello everyone this is my first post here on fz6-forum and I thought I would combine my welcome with a few questions. Anyways I am 19 years old and a freshman at The Ohio State University. I got my 2007 Blue FZ6 last July with 5k miles on it for $4500(is that an alright deal?), and I took my msf course and I am signed up to take my advanced msf course this April.

Anyways here are my questions I didn't use search, but since I am already introducing myself I thought I would combine the posts. Here are my questions:

1.) I am doing the POD light modification and I was wondering if someone could give me a link to a nice set of amber lights for this mod?

2.) For hot summer weather would 10w40 or 15w50 be better?

3.)What do you think about my mod list? Throttlemeister, frame sliders, cigarette lighter port, pod light mod, dual headlight mod, puig double bubble, tank+tailbag.

Thank you everyone for your great advice and knowledge, I would like to personally thank boneman for his helpful website!

Welcome to the forum.

I can only start on your mod list - frame sliders are a must. 12V port - yes if you are going to use a GPS. Tank/tailbag - yes if you are going to tour.

Otherwise - just buy what you think you will use/like not what everyone else has.

Enjoy....

:welcome: As kazza saidframe sliders a must and then go with what you want or need first and work from there. Tank bag i did and now luv not having a backpack all the time.

Good for you for taking the msf classes, too many people dont bother.

I think my first mod was frame sliders or BD43's dual headlight mod:thumbup: Let me know how the doulble bubble windshield works for you if you get it, I bought the tall Yamaha shield and didnt like it.

Tank/tail bags work out well for the riders that I know who have them.

I agree with the synthetic oil, its like liquid magic.

Oh yeah,:welcome: even though you got the blue one. :justkidding:
