Help Techies: Fonts in Vista changed

Two weeks ago I noticed that some of my programs running in Vista SP1 have changed to this ugly (what looks like old-fashioned system font). Before I begin removing newly installed programs like Fritz 11, I was wondering if someone here may know of a registry setting that restores program fonts to the default value.

As per the screen shot below, you can see that the MS Oultook '07 start up screen does not even fit these fugly fonts.

BTW, all my display settings are at default Vista and the DPI settings are at default.

I don't use vista so I'm not sure how to do it. Here is a program (with a free version) That will customize all your fonts, start menu, etc. that I use.

Edit: On pre-vista you can change the windows text settings by right clicking the desktop and going into properties and change the apperance settings.

Edit: It appears this is a flaw in Vista that a lot of people experience you could try this Fix 1 or this Fix 2 as well. Not sure which one is better but I love my Window Blinds.

Check your font size. I know a few times in the past I've hit some sort of mystery key combination and changed the font size smaller or larger than normal... which made everything look screwy. Like when you hold down the ctrl key and scroll your mouse wheel in the browser.

Check the font size settings in windows and see if that helps.

try holding the 'Ctrl' key and scrolling your mouse, or up or down arrow, or + or - keys. Usually if you do this with the cursor over the thing you want to resize it will work.
