Hey Pete, a friend turned me on to this little toy and I thought it had you written all over it. This thing is powered by a 625hp blown 427. I want one...

Impressive, but crashing thru an old shack with no armor whatsoever looked like a good way to impale yourself.

Charlie that is FREAKIN' AWESOME! Holy Crap Batman!

When I first saw it I thought is was an old M551 Sheridan that hade been severly moded. Nope, the M551 has no support rollers and independent road wheels. The track is funny too. It is a metal lightweight one, most US track has had rubber track pads since the 1930. Warsaw pack does not.

I was thinking it was a Korea area M39 APC, nope.

The road wheels are in boggies so it they must be Korea or WW2 vintage, they are US however. I have a feeling they got parts and made it work!

This thing is cool and I would love to have one.

Here's a link to one of my favorite web site. Tons of info on all military systems and equipment. US Ground Warfare Systems

Here's my favorite vehicle we used in Iraqi, the M1117 ASV, Armored Security Vehicle. It has a M2 caliber .50 coaxial to a 40mm Mark 19 Gernade Machine Gun. You can also change out the 50 for 7.62 M240C.

If traffic would not stop for one of my convoys, I'd call the ASV up and have him draw down on the cars. Man there was blue tire smoke everywhere! Just point that bad boy at them and you've got there attention in a nanosecond!

i would flip that thing over and kill myself in couple of minutes :D i would die very very happy though :D:D that looks like fun

Here's she is in all of her ground mounted glory!

That's OK if you like old school as in Diesel trucks vs. the likes of the GEXM214.
Why throw a Volkswagon down range when you could waste an entire hillside at 1,000 meters and blazing 10,000 rounds per minute? I like the intimidation factor and this mini gun is no doubt a real attention getter. The gun weight is 30 pounds and a back pack of 1,000 rounds is another 35. Can anyone say ouch???? Or maybe an huge "OH CHIT" would be appropriate?

One of the fun things about the mk19 is you can use different rounds, ie; high explosive, incindiary (sp), tear gas, etc. But yes the minigun would be fun also! If you have ever seen the vulcan (mini gun on the a-10 warthog) fire, the tracer rounds are every 20 or so rounds apart and it looks like a bright red fire hose coming out of the barrel.

Now you've come to my world. The Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II (as originally designated) uses the GAU-8/A, a 30mm Gatling gun. It also has the capabilities of carrying 16,000 pounds of mixed ordinance under the wings on 8 hard stations. This Madman is the tank killer and it was first introduced in 1975 so a bit late for me but we did have the Spectre Gun Ship, which you may know as the AC-130. Before this we used Puff the Magic Dragon, which was a converted C-117. Either Spectre or Puff make the A-10 look like child's play as they both are capable of placing 1 round in every square foot of an entire football field in a single pass. If you had seen Puff in action at night, it spit out so many rounds the tracers looked like a copper wire feeder with a sweet arc. Spectre actually carries the largest gun ever mounted on an aircraft, the 105mm Howitzer. The current AC-130U Spooky uses one 25mm Gatling gun and one 40mm Gatling gun which are backed up by the 105mm Howitzer. Here's a clip to show the Angel of Death.
