You know I have never heard one bad word said about Held gloves. They are spendy but they are the top of the line.

I know...I wonder why newenough got rid of the ice breaker? Also, I wonder if these are warmer than the ice breakers

I bought a pair of these today with some christmas money (80 Euro's) . At first I thought they were a bit too bulky but the salesman said they would break in quite quickly as he had a pair as well, he didn't do it to get the deal as I was doubting between these and another pair which were more expensive.

First, thanks to Texcollect for posting a U.S. source, got my pair sometime before Xmas. Unfortunately, either icy roads, too-low temps, or no time have kept me from trying them out.
Today it was a balmy 34 F, got home from Reserve duty with the sun still shining, and only a 2' stretch of ice at the end of my driveway to traverse. Took about a 40-minute ride, the gloves were comfortable but by the end of the ride my fingers were pretty cold, but then so were my legs and arms (and especially my neck, I forgot to don my balaclava!
) These gloves will be great for my 15-minute commute to work, but will still need electric wear if I want to ride any longer.
Sure felt good to get out and ride again. I've prided myself on riding at least once every month ever since I got the bike in July '07, but this past December ruined that run, just too cold, icy, or busy.
Will probably ride to work tomorrow if its warm enough tomorrow morning! :thumbup:

Thanks for the review Botch :thumbup: Unfortunately I've not been able to ride since I got the gloves (due to the weather and holidays). I'll post my review when all this damned snow clears

Well I've been riding with these gloves for a while now so It was about time to post my review.
These are nice warm winter gloves, I could ride my 45 minute commute at about 0 degrees (C) without my heated grip on but It would start becoming uncomfortable for the last 15 minutes of the ride.
Despite being a bit bulky the leather is extremely soft which really improves the comfort and the insulation works well with the heated grips.
The goretex works well to keep the hands nice and dry, both by keeping out the rain as by letting the hands "breathe" (the last few days have been in the double figures but this winter glove still kept my otherwise sweaty hands nice and dry).
I will still be wearing these gloves for a little while especially as it's still just above freezing in the morning, but hopefully it won't be too long before I'll be using my spring/fall gloves again :cheer:.
All in all this is a very good glove for a good price :thumbup:
