HID's should only be used in projector lamps. If you use them in regular buckets the beam pattern gets scrambled and blinds people coming at you.... im sure you have all see the junk civics with them in factory buckets stupid bright and not to mention they cant see all that well either. as far as color temp. the 4300 is what comes in your high end cars such as mercedes, bmw, etc.... i have 5000k's in my '08 xb it is a white light with a very slight tint of blue. the 4300's are gonna have a slight yellow tint to them. the higher you go the less light you get....
