Hi, anyone have a gps street map system on their bike, and how do you like it.

GPS system on bike

Put GPS in the search function...towards the top right hand side, just under your name.
This subject has been covered many times and there is a lot of good information.
My view is that if you tour on a bike they are great. I have had GPS on the bike for about 4 years. Used my TomTom to ride from the UK, through France and over the Swiss Alps into Italy and then back to Denmark in the summer.
Do not just think of GPS though. I also use my phone with mine as well as loading music onto it.

gps is three letters and therefore will not be able to be searched using this forums search function.

ahhh, so you can put a * at the end of a word (or three letter word) and it works like ebay? good to know. so this would work for oil as well? or fork* for searching both fork and forks?
Only required for 3 letters (why are there so many 3 letter acronyms :ban
, the system searches as your would expect for 4 and above.

Or you can use Google search. A GPS is totally worth it if you need one! How/where you ride in areas you don't know will affect if you need it or not. Bike-specific ones are damn expensive and you're better off buying a waterproof case like an otterbox or peli micro if it will only be used occasionally.
