sry bout ur car same thing happened to my car not to long ago..stole my subz n amp n scratched up my whole interior...thats the bronx for u:spank:

Not as nice as yours!!!!!!

The scotts was an impulse buy lol. Brand new sv1k kit for 280. Its 480 everywhere else and i had to jump on it.......

Where did you get it at that price?!

Yes it does look as good!

Yea the thief's stopped mid way apparently and didnt get in. They just broke a bunch or door parts and dented my front hood and fender for no reason...... So its costing me a lot just to repair it :(.

Cliff i just got lucky, someone on svrider bought it and totaled their bike and it didnt fit their new bike. I know people say they cant tell the difference with one but i definitely can. im glad i got one :)

TTIWWS (this thread is worthless without sound :D )
I wanna hear how that bike sounds!!
Looks fantastic!

AHaha i actually tried to record it because it sounds soooooo nice. But it doesnt come out well with a hand held camera because most of the sound is deep rumbling bass. I will try it again with a camcorder and see if that works.

It sounds like a Harley Street bike on steroids lol. Very original sound. Initial start up is like firing up a big block v8, i actually have to start it and run down the alley in nuetral so not to piss off all my neighbors.

This is what it sounds like sort of. Mine is deeper and has a crisp sound to it. Sounds gooooood when accelerating :)

I didnt want logos on mine though, i like the clean look better.

So when do I get to hear it in person?

Well since no one is riding this weekend i was going to attempt a spur of the moment trip to catalina to visit my lady friend if i can find a flight or boat from SD. Any suggestions??

I should be off next sat morning to trail far behind you on a ride :)

I should be available next Sat.

You'll enjoy Catalina if you haven't gone yet. Take a boat from Dana Point?

That's what Lisa and I did. :D

Great sounding bike!

Sweet bike!

how do you find the ergonomics compared to the fazer? how tall are you? and weight?

just wondering as i have the sv1k on my future bike list. it is very good value second hand

Its a much more hunched over position but not terribly uncomfortable. The oem clipons put too much pressure on the outer palms of my hands but i fixed that with Helibars (oem is angled down, helibars are more straight out). I may try the oem ones again once i have put a lot of seat time on the bike.

Compared to the fz6 with an fz1 bar its slightly more hunched over but foot pegs feel the same.

Just go here Motorcycle Ergonomics and enter your info and both bikes and you can see the exact difference :)

Kind of makes me miss my SV650 and the wonderful noise the Delkevic exhaust produced, hate the FZ6 stock and can't afford pipes yet, your SV1K looks great though!

Yea its actually pretty funny. When i ride with the SS guys and they all rev at the light thinking they sound bad. Then i do it and everyone stops hahahah
