Hello everyone,

I am an old Yamaha fan, I use to own a 2001 Blue R6. Was younger and more stupid and laid the bike down in a wheelie, Totaled it. Anyways that was 7 years ago and I am really looking to hop back on and ride again with both wheels firmly planted on asphalt. I really love the look of the FZ6 probably because it looks like a grown up R6. Not quite so far over, a little less power but still the Yamaha look I love.

I have looked around and the other bikes in this class really do nothing for me.

So my question to everyone here is how much of a difference is FZ6 to the R6. I mean I am almost 30 now and I am not looking to do 150+ or 90 mph wheelies. Am I going to be disappointed with the FZ6? How is the change from going from clip-on handlebars to a more upright type? Also my brother just picked up a Ninja 650R 2006, how comparable is this to a FZ6?

Anyways I am sure I will have tons more questions. Oh by the way I will be looking for a 2007 Blue FZ6 in about 2-3 weeks when I move back up to CT.

Thanks,

Jeremy

you should be happy with it. you already know it's a few ponies down from the R6. fuel economy is better, ride is nice. I think compairing it to the Kawi 650 it's a better bike, more performance. and in the right hands it is awesome in the twisties
