FZ6 Seat Swap

I'm looking to buy an FZ6 and I like everything about it...except for the banana seat. My current bike ('86 FZX700) has the same style seat and I can't stand it.

Are the FZ1 or FZ8 seats interchangeable, or can they be modified to fit? I like the styling much better.

You can get the corbin seat, it's a bit different style, but even the stock is not quite a banana seat like the FZX700
