This exact thing happened to me with my 06... I went to every welding shop I could find and no one would fix it for me. I then went to my old welding/machine shop teacher at my college and he said he would do it if I tore down the whole motor so he could weld it and then machine it back to specs. He then suggested something that he had done on one of his tractors which is basically what your dealership is doing. So I went to work on cleaning it up and preping it for the "quick steel" epoxy. I put a small piece of a Ziploc bag in the hole to keep the epoxy from bonding to the bearing and then I applied the epoxy. It has held up fine and has not leaked oil since. In my situation though, there was enough material holding the bearing in place that I'm confident it won't have any problems. Hope this helps
