FZ6 Achilles heel

Oh i just thought of one...not an achilles heal, but a nuisance, all the same....

The way the Clutch cable lays right over the top of the ignition on the FZ6n. makes it very hard to get the key in and out!

Also the clutch cable rubbing on the bottom edge of the instrument panel on 04-06 FZ6n's....if the soft rubber sheaf that is wrapped around clutch cable where it sits against the instrument panel is missing, it is possible for the hard plastic wrapped clutch cable to rub right through the outer housing of the plastic instrument panel, and let moisture, and or water in....eventually rendering instrument panel useless.

04-06 FZ6n owners...beware, it happens!

Yeh guys whats the issue with the bearings, and what is the side effects, as ive mentioned i have a severe shudder under hard front braking, that i have to let off the brake( yes i now have checked calipers and disc's, this has done it from new)

the turning switch should go off after the turn. Make the spark plugs a little easier to get to. And make the handle bars easier to change.

Oh wait! I finally got one. I'm surprised nobody mentioned this!

The FUEL TANK. You need to lift that thing up in order to do practically ANYTHING! Even the battery! You need to lift the fuel tank. Fortunately, this forum has perfected many different techniques to take shortcuts with it.

Hep! The problem is so minor now, we forgot to mention it!

not sure removing two allen bolts is something i would consider a problem? also, the way i understand it is - putting the battery so far forward evens out the weight dist...isnt this a good thing?

SH bearings (replaced mine)
Single headlight when it's already wired for 2
Stiff clutch lever with NO adjustment
Huge amber signals
Ineffective windscreen
Crappy factory throttle cable adjustment
Batwing rear fender
A bit heavy for its class
Fake dual exhaust with plastic cover
Annoying Digi tach on the 04-06
Sloppy stock suspension
Floating calipers
No naked option

Hey, you asked. That said, I absolutely love my FZ6 and I can't think of another bike I'd rather have (ok, the Street Triple R might replace it one day).

I bought my '07 FZ6 brand new for $6300. It has everything wrong with it that I expected, and it's still one of the most awsome bikes ever made!!!!!

80 year olds cutting me off, slamming on their breaks, and me subsequently rolling down the highway totaling my bike with only 302 miles on it!!!!:(:rant::surrender:

I am a newbie so really don't know what to and not to expect. But I ultimately love the bike. I really can't think of nothing that if I don't like enough I can't change or learn to live with. Well I do remember one thing I don't like but once again can change. If I ride a long time at once my ass does hurt from I guess the seat. But again I am a newbie never ridden a different bike before to test the seat comfort so I have to play into factor I could have a candy ass! LoL Thats it we can call the FZ6's factory seat the "Candy Ass Tester" for example the "Corbin Seat".
