FZ1 Bars ?

i have an 08 fz6 and was wondering if i had to put the risers on if i switched to the fz1 handlebar. thanks

I just put the fz1 bars on my 09 and they work fine without the risers. The bars will touch if you try to turn them all the way. You can still use the lock. I just put some felt pads under the black plastic controls that touch on the tank. The bike feels great with the fz1 bars on there. I was very happy I did the mod.

so they will touch the tank without the risers/spacers? i dont really like the way they look with the spacers.

uh the fz1 bars dont have to touch the tank, mine didn't... just the way you mount them I guess.

If the bars are installed properly, they will not touch anything at full lock. My controls clear the tank by about 1/4".

Yep, what they said. I put mine on about a month ago....love them! You just have to turn them up a hair to clear the tank.
