Hello all,
First question about the FZ1 bars is if they're wider and I want them the same width as stock, can we just cut them down? What about the threads for the bar ends?
Other question is, to open up riser/bar combos, has anyone looked into installing the FZ1 triple tree top/risers? They share the same fork sizes, but I'm not sure about width. Oh, wait...they're upside-down forks. AGH. just answered my own question there...

Well, what about the bar ends question anyway?:spank:

My oem 2006 FZ1 bar came with the same thread as the FZ6 bar ends.
I've never had OEM FZ6 bars, but the FZ1 bars are pretty narrow

Yes you can cut them down. It is kind of a project though. I did it and took pics. I'll find the thread and post it here.

inside the handlebar ends are essetialy a nut that is spot welded in place. To cut them down you have to drill out the spot weld, pull the threads out. drill a new hole and spot weld them back in. Mine turned into quite the cob-job but they look good and work as intended. If you don't have access to a welder I wouldn't recommend cutting them down.
