G'Day Fellas,
Just joined your forum but I utilise the sister FZ1 forum on occasions, On the other forum I posted a thread looking for Interest in a FZ rally perhaps in Norther NSW allowin travel from Qld and NSW.

I am extending this show of interest to this forum but would like to keep a single post to monitor.

It's an excuse to ride to somewhere a long way away...i am officially interested!

Great idea, but not for me. I have an aversion to riding straight lines, and my car has let me know it wants me to take it off life support soon, so won't be trailering the bike up either. All I can say is it's a darn shame I can't take it on the plane as carry-on. Do they let people take wheel-chairs on a plane? :BLAA: wonder if I can disguise it.
 
I agree with mikey...too far and too straight. chances are I wouldn't have a license for long on that trip either.
Nice idea and im sure you will get plenty east coast interest.

May be an idea for SA to have one but chances are we wont as most rides never line up with everyone's busy schedules.

I notice our ex navy boy must suffer sea sickness aswell , seeing as he doesnt want to join us for the "Tour De Tassie" either :shakehead: And i've heard there isnt a straight road on the island :rockon: So whats your excuse Mikey Hmmmmmmm ???? :D

So are my tires. If there was a twisty road up to NSW I'd be there every Saturday morning. Lol.

I'm poor. Lol. How many tires have you replaced this year? Hmmmmmmm? I'm up to 10 rears and about 9 fronts. There's 5 grand in tires right there. Lol.
 
Hi Guys,
Thanks for the show of interest, yeah the ride may be bit boring but I am sure the catch up with a few coldies, a loud band rockin, plenty of bike conversation, perhaps a trophy or two to be won, (best custom, best standard, furthest travelled) maybe an arranged ride into the hills on day two, will more than make up for the ride there.

It seems pulling this off is not going to be as easy as i thought, i tried a couple of potential venues and hit major resistance once i mentioned motorcycles. It seems some people cannot seperated us clean living guys n gals from the "Bikie Gangs" receiving the bad press in NSW due to the "outlaw" attempt by the NSW govt.

I will keep you informed of any progress.
