Fulmer D4 Helmet Review

Thanks for that link. I have a Fulmer AFS1 that I picked up as a just for now helmet, but I've actually been reasonably happy with it. The visor tab broke just like the one in the review on this D4 though. I put drilled a small hole in the visor and put a screw with a little metal plate on the other end to line it up seems to work fine now. It doesn't seal as well as it could, but the D4 sounds like that's been addressed. Overall I'm pretty impressed with it for being ~$120. Might look at the D4 to see if it's quieter. Fulmer seems to make reasonable albeit not top end quality helmets from my experience.

My son has this helmet and he likes it very well. Although it is his first helmet so not much comparison.
I myself have a Gmax 68s which I find to be pretty decent.
I have worn the Fulmer on a few occations so I'll give you the differences I have noticed.
Gmax sound level is completely HORRIBLE compared to the Fulmer. I mean it seems the sound level is like going from a rock concert in the Gmax to a nice quiet evening with soft music in the Fulmer.
Wind protection on the chin area goes to the Gmax. It has a mesh sheild under the chin to help deflect wind which it does very well. I was out one evening and had my Gmax on (which has the tinted shield installed) and it was getting a little hard to see so I went home and got my sons Fulmer which has a clear shield and went back off riding . The cool air actually got my chin cold since there is no air deflection of any sort.
Air flow during hot summer days has to go to the Gmax which is one reason it is so loud. It is very airy inside the helmet.
All in all thou if I wear going out to buy one of these 2 helmets I would get the Fulmer just because of the fit and sound level.

Hello. I purchased a Fulmer D4 helmet about a month ago. Today I got a scratch on the middle of the shield while riding. Does anyone know where I can purchase/order a replacement shield? This scratch is a little distracting and I would like to get a new shield as soon as possible.
