Full Face Helmet Performance In RAIN

I keep Rain-X, plus Rain-X anti fog in my bag that goes with me everywhere. I've used it numerous times on my helmet and never had any issue.

Also, I bought gloves with squeegee fingertips - they help tremendously believe it or not, and I use them regularly.

"Pin Loc"??

Do a Google search on Pinlock. It is an additional removable "visor" inside the visor. It has a bead of silicone in the edge so it forms ~airtight seal with the main visor. The name comes from two pins that hold it.
It just works, no fog at all in heavy rain and 0-5 deg C even when waiting in traffic lights with the visor closed and no vents open.

I use Rain-X on my visor, and aint had a problem....

Cat Crap is not too bad, but you do have to re-apply it pretty regularly.

When it gets really nasty, I like to slip on my amber lensed goggles, and nose cover/breath gaurd thingy, and ride with my visor open and my head tilted forward slightly. This keeps rain off the lenses of my gogs, and the full on air flow stops means there is no chance of foggin' the gogs. If it's cold, I add the balaclava to the mix. I can ride like this through the twisties at night in torrential rain, at 0 degrees C.

I was thinking of this as an alternative - advantage - don't need too much visor prep and goggles can be used pretty much as is - any brands you'd recommend?

Thanks - several b loggers have recommended pin lock. One question - when I looked pin lock up they sold them for only 4 brands of helmets. Does this matter or can say the "HJC" model be used on my Scorpion helmet?

Thanks to all riders for your advice. Looks like I have some great ideas. The Pledge one is intriguing. It may not harm the plastic. Hopefully Plexus will work equally well. Pin lock seems only to be made for several brands of helmets, one rider recommended another anti-fog insert which seemed more generic. Using goggles also seemed like an option.

Gotta put in my 2-cents (about all by thoughts are worth anyway...)

+1 for the Pledge suggestion. A guy I know recommended it, even just to clean the visor, and it works great.

+1 on the head side to side etc. I usually just tip my head forward and the wind blows the water off.

Try one of those breath masks that points your breath down and out of the helmet. They help.

BE CAREFULL with those rubber squeegies on the gloves. If you have a mirrored visor it could scratch the finish on the visor...it happened to me. Can't fix it either.
