How are the handguards mounted? Will they work with OEM bar ends?

The handguards did not work too well with the OEM bars. The threaded inserts in the OEM bars made it difficult to tighten them down. I installed Rizoma handlebars and they worked great with them. I don't think I have all the original hardware for them either.

Pictures of the levers and windshield. I tried to get a close up shot of the touch-up job on the brake lever. The windshield has no scratches.
