Hi,
I put a Scorpio alarm into my bike a few days ago & as I was putting my bike back together, and a friend decided to help. Anyway, she scratched up the black part of my upper fairing when trying to insert the inner fairing panel. My bike is less than a month old and is a brand new 2008 FZ6, and needless to say I'm pretty upset about it. My friend said she would buy a new fairing and replace it, and I quickly priced it out, and it will cost her more than $600, which I don't feel good about. I will take some pictures and post them, but does anyone have suggestions about what is a good way of fixing scratches, so they are not seen and so that they don't devalue my bike? The worst scratch is deep enought that I can feel it with my finger nail, but the others are more like scratches that only removed the paint. I was thinking that having the fairing professionally painted would be the only option.
Thanks
