I didnt run until 11:30!
it was pretty lame....I almost lost it on the first run and somehow came back.
even leaving the track was a clusterfu#k

^ I got video of both your runs. I BARELY got there in time to get your first run, and I may not have gotten the very start, but I got the second one OK, I think. Not sure about video quality, though. I should have it posted somewhere today or tomorrow.

I have to say I don't believe I will ever go back for the Friday night drags at AMS, or at least it will take a lot of convincing for me to go.

I'm in agreement with this. There was a really bad accident near AMS that delayed a lot of people from being there in time to practice. I think that may have caused the organizers to wait for some people to arrive before starting some of the events, too. Also, the scheduling of the competition was such that the categories with fewer competitors started later, so the non-liter bike sportbikes, dirt bikes, ATVs and such didn't run until nearly midnight. That's a lot of waiting around to do to race an eighth of a mile. They had some pretty good barbecue there, though.

Actually the 60 miles thing is just a guess I haven't looked to see exactly what it is but I know it took me a hr to get to AMS and it took me about 2hr to commerce

I get 96 miles from Google Maps for Atlanta Dragway to Atlanta Motor Speedway.

I'm almost between the two, but a bit closer to Atl Dragway. I'm about 45 miles to Atlanta Dragway, and 58 miles to Atlanta Motor Speedway.

I used to go (to Atlanta Dragway) a lot on Friday nights after work, we'd get there around 7:30 or 8:00 and get about 4 or 5 runs in on average sometimes more. The have to shut down at 11pm .

I did not capture the brilliant start to your first run, but I did get the very end. All in all, this is some pretty poor videography, but it's what I did.
