The problem with the current system is there are too many lawyers and insurance companies that are hell bent on greedily profiting off the health of our nations citizens.

And Obama's plan flatly rejects dealing with the legal issue, glad we can agree. As for greedily profiting the same can be said for every doctor in the country, every pharmacist, every drug company, every scientist hard at work researching and coming up with the next cure. Every farmer that grows your food for that matter, so maybe we should let him take over that industry too? Obama's constant reference to the Mayo clinic as the example of good efficiency is hilariously ironic because it is the perfect example of the "greedy" "profitable" private company that is providing a much better service at a lower cost. It is exactly why government should not be in charge.
