First music single you bought!

Looking at lazamus69 thread what was the number one when you were born I was just wondering what was the first music single you bought?

Mine was brick in the wall by Pink Floyd. way back in 1979.

YouTube - Pink Floyd: Another Brick in the Wall Part 2

The Wall by Pink Floyd is a true work of art!!,- Its should be heard as a hole, not on singles !!! (I know,- I'm a grumpy old Pink Floyd Fanatic :) )

My first single was "Land Of Confusion" by Genesis.

I am with you on that one.Pink Floyd were and still are an awesome band. I was nine years old when i first heard them, had to save my pocket money up to buy brick in the wall.Dark side of the moon is another great album.

Back in the ealy 80', by sure chanche, I came across "Ummagumma" in a second hand shop. Not owning the Album, I picked it up. At the time I knew a REAL hardcore Pink Floyd Collector, who when he saw the album, pointed out that this album was extremly har to get your hands on. So he offerd me all of the pink floyd albums i was missing (4 at the time), plus a white label bootleg of the wall (The last concert they did).
The only thin that made my Ummagumma special, was that there was a reflection of a frog in the mirror you see on the cover ...... (As I said,- he was a hardcore collector).

So thats how I ended up with a complete Pink Floyd Collection :)

Same Ol' Situation - Motley Crue (with Wild Side on the B-side of the tape) when I was 10. Thankfully my taste in music has improved drastically in the almost 20 years (scary thought) since then.
