Finally Pulled the Trigger on Two Bros. Exhaust

After a month of obsessing over whether or not to buy them, I decided to pick up the TBR CF slip-ons for my '06. Hope to share pics once I find some time to install them.

On that note, does anyone have suggestions on things i can mod/inspect/improve while the stock parts are removed during the exhaust install? Any suggestions on different turn signal lights (I've read some complaints on the provided signals with the TBRs)?

Just did this - couple things. I got the titanium - they are loud. Umm really loud. I got the P1-X tips to quite them down and they are just about right. I think the biggest advantage is losing all that weight up high - and of course better sound - bike seems "snappier" but doubt there is more real power.

Also the tips create back pressure and give you back the torque down low - so I didn't really notice any difference down low with the change.

Did I say the pipes are loud? Well, the pipes are loud - get the P1-X tips.

The lights are hokie - ditched them and using stock with a FE kit - I modded the bracket and welded on a support so it was not so flimsy. Other than that they look great, lose a ton of crap off the back of the bike, look clean and sounds great.

Did I say they were loud? So I installed late on a Friday night, woke up Saturday and put 400 miles on the bike - they are loud - got used to - but they are loud

haha, thanks for the advice. The pipes arrived today and it made me feel like a little rich boy at Christmas time. Can't wait to install them this weekend and see if the noise is tolerable... but then again I'm a drummer so I can't hear as well as most people.

Good for you - let us know how it goes.

Everyone is different and I waffled on these as well. My main motivation was to lose the weight on the back of the bike, then looks, then add a little sound. It really cleans up the back of the bike.

In terms of the sound you may be like - "these aren't loud at all". At speed for hours (60-80mph) on a trip they start to be annoying a bit. Earplugs are the key.

Anyway overall its a sweet mod that I would do again. Install is not that hard and once you get into it it will be obvious what you need to mod etc.

If you looking to upgrade your turning signals, I've got some Rizomas Zero-11 LED Turn Signal I can sell you. They look great and are super bright. I used the fender eliminator that came with my Two Bros. and used the Zero-11 LEDs and was completely satisfied.

+1 on upgrading your rear signals. I just finally replaced the cheap a$$ ones that come with the TB cans to Rizoma Avio 21's. Super bright! Can't go wrong with Rizoma!
