Finally got my Trailer

It took a long time to get this trailer I have been waiting for because of unforeseen circumstances. I am happy that I have it now and it will become very useful for many things! Its a used trailer, "stickers" but in great condition, payed $1100 for it. Perfect size for my bike.

Ive been rebuilding the inside. The white walls that you see are not orginal, the original walls are behind the white ones. Same thing with the floor, the original floor is under the black painted one. This week Im going to paint the inside of the trailer. Since Ive cut down on modding my bike for awhile, I will mod my trailer! LOL

What do you use to tie the bike down in the trailer, the bars or the frame? I bought a "Canyon Dancer" bike tie down strap that has plastic cups that fit over the end of the bars but when I used them they pulled the bars down so hard they were touching the tank! The bars spun in the mounts and the right side actually bent. Not impressed. Now I tie it down by using the front forks up under the frame, much more secure now and no damage to the bars.

Damn, that's a good deal.

Looking for a bike trailer at the moment - it will have a cage and a canvas cover. Can't really buy 2nd hand in Perth so it will be new. Unfortunately it will cost around AUS$3500.00.......

Yes, I will have to get some decals for the side. Might have Krid80 make me some since I only live like 20 mins away. He has a talent for that stuff. Right now I have been working on the inside getting some lighting hooked up and making a homemade tools box holder for working on my bike if I take it out of state with me.

In the UK they use Ford Transit vans to haul bikes. Only the wealthy own trucks. Very nice trailer! Looks like it will hold a pair of bikes as long as one of them isn't your dad's monster roadstar. Need to desticker it and I can make uniformly sized and colored logos to tastefully adorn the new rig. Whaddaya say, Geoffy?

I have used similar straps and I can't see how they will bend your bars unless you have ratchet straps that you overtightened. The straps are only there to keep the bike upright and stop it bouncing. If there is a front wheel bracket and the straps pull the bike forward you are good to go. I just pulled them down until the suspension was slightly compressed and that's it.
