Finished the survay, had to look up what the drop off/ edge trap thingy was. Also I don't know how road crews would effect MC's... any idea on what they were looking for? I don't see how they would hinder a motorcyclist any more or less than a cager.

It might be a reference to whenever the road crew resurfaces the highways, they require you to ride on the old portion of the lane for some miles, and then swerve onto the newer portion. The difference between the old and new pavement can be almost two inches, creating a edge/drop off.

In a perftect world, you would want to hit that at a 90 degree angle, but pretty much impossible so thats what makes it so much more dangerous, as your front tire is more susceptible to sliding along that edge.

It would have been interesting if EVERYONE would have made a comment allowing riders to filter through the front of the intersection during red lights. Whenever we have to stop, whether it's tolls or red lights, we are very vulnerable getting rear ended. We're just not that visible from the rear. Like to see it a Federal law allowing us to do so, even though technically it doesn't have to do anything with road conditions.
