Fault code 51

Anyone any idea what is likely to be wrong with fault code 51 popping up? Intermittently, the bike will not start, and fault 51 come up with the keylight flashing and temp gauge flashing. 51 is cooler fan relay, but it's done it from cold, warm and hot, so nothing to do with overheating. Bike eventually goes after lots of messing, but sometimes, 10 mins or so.

I think 51 has to do with the fan motor/relay.

From an international-spec service manual I downloaded in error once upon a time: (USA bikes don't have Immobilizers or ABS so some of these codes are missing from the USA-spec manuals.)

Fault code 51 -> Immobilizer system problem

Diagnostic code 51 -> Shown when testing the radiator fan relay

Malfunction code 51 -> ABS system problem
