I guess that's cool. Going fast in a straight line has never impressed me though. Same thing with drag racing, be it cars or bikes. Does it take some skill? Sure, knowning when to shift and throttle control.. but honestly even Nascar's big ovals takes more skill than going in a straight line. Dunno to each thier own.

BTW.. she's pretty hot, a bit skinny but not bad :thumbup:

True. Skill is demonstrated mainly when things go wrong. Like that video of the stunt pilot landing his plane after his right wing fell off using throttle, elevator, and rudder. It was an amazing demonstration of skill in the face of disaster.

I sort of used to be like that until I thaught about it more because I was curious. I guess there kinda two different things. Nascar is a combination of skill in tuning a machine, and skill in operating the machine. But, in Nascar, if you make your machine too fast, they slow you down. In drag racing there is definately skill to be had in how to drive down the strip/launch, etc. but it's more reliant, in my opinion, in the machine.

I love machines, and If you love working on and tuning machines, drag racing is great. There is some variability with drivers, etc., but what really really matters is the machine. If I had the money, I'd buy an older camaro and start drag racing it, just to see what I could squeeze out of it. There would always be something more I could do to it, and I think it would just be fun.

But to each his own like you said. She is pretty cute tho...
