F1 vs Touring Car

That's awesome, this is the best sounding engine I ever heard, its a 1951 BRM V-16 engine from a Formula 1 car. sick! Put the headphones on and listen

That is one SERIOUS Audi. Love that turbo boost dump sound.

Yep, I love the lumpy idle myself. Who would've thought a 5 cylinder could sound so mean? lol There's some other videos on youtube, but few have decent sound. The ones that contain old footage of Hans Stuck are the best. Those cars made tons of racket on the track. I love old IMSA and Group B rally cars more than just about anything.

That V16 is so awesome sounding! It reminds me of this sound....[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cuyUWHozAvM]YouTube - 2009 Yamaha R1 on TBR Dyno[/ame]

that new R1 exhaust note is seriously amazing

i could wake up every morning to that noise.

For once I wouldn't be annoyed to hear my alarm! lol My alarm clock has a cd player, so I'm going to burn a sweet exhaust onto a cd, and enjoy. Damn good idea! :D

That gives you a great sense of F1 speed

Totally, I lined up the starts, just so the f1 car was passing start/stop at the same time as the touring car (nice site!) - the f1 car was out out of view waaay b4 the touring car. Putting them side-by-side like that, never realised there was that much difference!

And the amazing part is that they're only 2.4L (2400cc) engines!

Edit: I'm seeing 2 different specs, a 2.4L V8 an da 3.0L V10. Either way, it's sick that that much speed can come out of such a "small" engine. The 20,000 rpm certainly helps, though.
