If its just advice you want my FZ6 came fitted with a beowulf aftermarket can, sounds great and is road legal

Have you thought of drilling the baffles? Many people have done that with great success. (many threads on it, do a search)

I have Scorpion slip-ons, only because they were the right price.... (but they DO sound awesome!)

(that's the problem with under seat exhausts - they cost three times as much as their side mounted counterparts!)

In the UK I would of thought drilling into the baffles would be a mot failure.

Exactly what yammi said, plus iv heard that it sometimes just sounds naff.

If you want it to sound good i'd pitch a little money in and buy a nice can, plus some even come with removable baffles just incase you want to make even more noise! Again its not technically road legal in the UK to remove the baffles so i'm in no way endorsing it

I'd go with the drilled baffles, if you don't like it then you can easily buy a replacement exhaust off eBay for about £20

I've got an M4 on my ZX6R and it's LOUD whereas I've drilled the baffles on my FZ6 and I really like the sound, it's much nicer to live with on a day to day basis. It's a bit deeper than standard and sounds much better above 5000rpm but doesn't get annoying on long rides like a full on sports exhaust can.

I think it is an improvment in the sound, and it sure is cheep. I'll need to do a search to read up on if it is safe for the valves or not, but feel free to comment if you know for sure one way or another.

Loads of people have done it and I've never heard of any problems. All you're doing is making it slightly easier for the gasses to escape, it's not like you're making a huge difference.

I think it's great, just perfect tone for everyday use. Definitely recommended from me anyway.

The video actually doesn't sound too bad. It sounds a little like my Beowulf cans with the baffles in.. If you have a spare set then I suppose why not drill the baffles, just keep in mind you will need an exhaust with a baffle in to pass the UK MOT.

I will get a video up of my FZ6 with the Beowulf cans on it for you to have a listen. The plus side is that my baffles can be removed / installed by unscrewing one allen key bolt, so I can stick them back in for the MOT, the down side is that they cost a little more than just taking a drill to your exhaust..
