I've recently got this error code 2

Fault code: Er-2
Diagnostic Code: --
Symptom: No signals are received from the ECU within the specified duration.
Probable cause of malfunction:

Improper connection in wiring sub lead.
Malfunction in meter.
Malfunction in ECU.

Though to me this means....? Bad connection from engine to ecu?

It only happens once and awhile when switching the bike off.

I had issues with that error code (I think) when it was really wet and water got into the wiring, I checked all the cables and ran the bike for 30 mins at idle and the heat dried everything out.
Could be more serious though.

You may luck out and just have a bad connection somewhere being its not happening all the time..

I'd start checking connectors (especially the harness that plugs into the ECU) for any corrosion/battery terminals, etc. When re-assembling, some di-lectric grease to prevent water intrusion/corrosion. Spray the ighition switch initially with WD40 to flush out any crap, then something appropriate for a lock cylinder.

Thanks - I'll check when the rains stop.

The neutral light switch is playing up as well. turns on in the duration of changing gears

Whenever I wash my bike, my neutral light stays on irrespective of gear for a while until it dries out.

No biggie.

Cheers,
Rick
