My hubby has a DR-Z400S. A fine dualsport for him, but I suppose that when you're coming from an XR650L, anything will feel svelte. :Flip:
So I got a DR-Z250, and can now haugtily point out that I have a six-speed - and a kick-start as well as a magic button. :cheer:
It's lighter than a DR-Z400S, and it has a shockingly good suspension for a budget trailbike. It soaks up the bumps, with great compression damping and the proper rebound damping to keep you from bouncing all over the place.
It's not as refined a bike as the WR250X I sold, but at the low price I paid, it's a fantastic deal.
Yes, I have a real dirt bike - a CRF150R - but this is a more low-strung, comfy, streetable dualsport. The engine is a tractor - you can idle the thing up a hill.
