I am considering an FZ6, and had a general question that I was hoping someone could answer. I live in Philly, and am lucky enough to have a garage, but it is a small one. Can someone tell me how wide their FZ6 is when on the centerstand and has the mirrors folded in? Of perhaps - when parked against the wall, how far out does it project. (my wife has the odd notion that she should be able to park a car in the garage).

Thx in advance for your help.

With the bars straight I get 29 1/2" if you turn full lock, your front turn signals will be the widest point at 27"

I keep my fizzer on its side stand (with a small 2X4 under it) in a VERY small purpose built "bike box" that measures 40" X 86" inside.

Tell her the car has a roof, the bike doesn't :BLAA:

I measure about the same as phranK: 30 inches max from the back wall as seen in this pic. The distance between the step and wall is 86 inches. It takes some wiggling to squeeze it in there as seen by the center stand scratches on the floor. I manage to get a lawn mower in there, too, on the passenger side of the car.
