different kick stand?

has anyone out there put a different kick stand on the bike? im looking for one so that i wont drag it one day and go down because of it(knock on wood). its just a scary thought, see how long and bulky that thing is and how far it sicks out.

What do you mean by drag it, you mean on the ground in a corner? I didn't know Valentino Rossi was an undercover member here.

Soooo you leaning that far over to rub the kick stand?
Never heard of it being problem, you will be rubbing the peg feelers long before you rub anythig else. Do a track day, you'll find out.

my trouble is that the kickstand drags before the peg does. sorry for left out information. the stand doesn't even look to be bent either.

Mmm doesn't sound right, may want to take a closer look. Shouldn't rub, I'm packin' a load and have never rubed the stand.

I've rubbed the center stand(road was crested) and it felt and sounded like running over a big rock, scared the **** out of me but I didn't lose traction, however the centerstand is much lower and far out than the side stand.

You'll break the footpegs off before you'll rub the sidestand though.

are you dragin the side stand or is it the center stand that you are dragin if your side stand is dragin on the ground it could be bent or loose I would check that first

i know doesn't sound right to me either. i've only been riding this thing for a year and just started to put the right peg down, but with the left only the kick stand has seen the pavement

If you switch to R6 pegs, you WILL drag the kickstand before the peg on the left side. However, I've also removed my center stand.

I've only done it a few times on the street, and it's been in clear parking lots and such. My plan is to remove it for the track and use a rearstand.
