Did another mod on the Buell today

Engine breather mod with catch can... also removed the charcoal canister (don't tell anyone).

Just did it and finished in 1.5h... will try tomorrow... apparently it helps avoid a lot of crap to get back into the engine...

I found all the parts I needed at Lowe's + Autozone for a total of $75

I don't know, but I don't think so (if it does, it probably is vented out via one of the 2 vents at your centerstand)... probably a side effect of the fact that the Harley vtwin in the Buell is an old design...

Nice DIY, very clean a gets rid of the smoke grenade.

Many bikes in CA have to have a charcoal canister. The Aprilias have one, BMWs, etc. I suspect the Japanese to a better job of hiding them and other mfgs.

I don't totally understand how exactly that works but sounds like you have a better bike for it.
In the video it almost looked like a water and oil combo that came out of that line. Was that what it was?

Yeah, mostly water... I rode 20miles yesterday and it was enough to get 2-3ml of what looked like perfectly clear water... no goo in mine for now

Yeah, it is usually called the "crankcase ventilation routed to atmosphere" mod. Put a breather filter on other end to catch any oil, dirt.

Need to do it on both my bikes.
