Definition of a squid

In the simplest of terms and for the most convenient of reasons, this would be any individual either young or old that rides with a total disregard for safety both to themselves and more importantly to others they may come in contact with.
 
I'd pretty much bet that any rider who wheres flipflops/sneakers shorts, and a tanktop or t-shirt that thinks hes hot sh!t. ohh yeah you gotta throw in the expensive pair of sunglasses with no helmet.

I won't and trust me, her butt won't even get to test my saddle without some gear and a G string is not considered gear. I will however say to those that do take her on, they will now have moved from the Love Ride to the Squid Ride.
 
The Idiot's Guide to Motorcycles 4th Edition defines it as a motorcyclist who rides sportbikes in a manner that is appropriate for the racetrack, but not for the streets.

i paraphrased there but you get the idea. no mention of gear in the definition there.

If they limit it to sportbikes and fail to have any regard for gear I can see why they call it an idiots guide.

Someone who rides like a squid the ocean going variety.

Yep I saw two squid on raked out flat black choppers today. Vests and sunglasses. BLLLLAAAAAAPPPPPP straight, and then they both about fell over trying to turn into the gas station. Even Trin was laughing at them.

Hey Steve, was that over by Whah-bahs? I stay clear of that place and Motor City on Bike Night. I came off 73 in Franklin and stopped for some water at the Marathon station at 31W. While there I watched a kid in shorts, tennis shoes and of coarse no helmet do a power wheelie headed south on 31W. This guy has a death wish...

Wha Bahs is my favorite place to sit across the street at hardees and laugh. I saw one drunk dude try to ride thru a car head on. The only reason he is alive is she stopped. I think they should really really set up a road block going all four ways out of there one night and just have rollbacks and clear out a highschool gym for a holding cell. There is another bar over on on Par View that the sportbike drunks go to. Its only two ways out they oughta hook it up too. In that insurance instituit study I have.

50% of the dead single bike accident riders were over .08 another 30% of the dead were between .04 and .08

Drinking and riding needs to be stopped more than anything. Just how stupid do you have to be?

We get alot of "Squids" here in Townsville. Unfortunatly the hot climate promotes the lack of safety gear, but they just love crusing in thongs (Flipflops) and singlets. I just look on and think of how much pain they will be in as the Nurse scrubs all the dirt out of their road rash. Providing they live of course!

if theyre doing it that regularly, honestly, it's no longer the government and society's responsibility to protect them. survival of the fittest would seem to apply.

shame about innocents getting hurt tho. but if someone's that dumb, what can you really do to prevent them from offending apart from incarcerating them for like 90 years until theyre old and senile. even then theyll get hammered and do wheelies on their motorized wheelchairs. ....
